We built Desiign Cart Drawer & Gifts for ISANOA first. The cart apps they tried lacked the options they needed, and customers kept complaining about missing gifts and glitchy carts. So we built one without those problems. Now it runs on these stores, and any Shopify store can use it.

  • Discounts run in Shopify

    Free gifts, Buy X Get Y and volume discounts are applied by a Shopify Function, so checkout gives what the drawer promised, on every plan.

  • Whole collections, both ways

    Count spend on one collection toward a goal, like $50 on candles. Offer a whole collection as gifts, and new products in it appear in the picker.

  • Gifts don't unlock gifts

    A free gift never counts toward the next gift or discount level. One gift can't unlock another, so you never give away more than planned.

  • Buy X Get Y, your way

    Apply an offer automatically, so a free product already in the cart stops being charged for. Or add a picker, so shoppers can choose one.

  • One bar for every goal

    Free shipping and free gift goals share one progress bar, so every item added shows progress. The shipping goal follows your own rates, per country.

  • The same cart on /cart

    Shoppers back from checkout land on your cart page. It shows the same bar, gifts and add-ons as the drawer, so the two never disagree.

Every feature below is set up in your Shopify admin. No code.

A free shipping bar that follows your rates.

Shoppers see how far they are from free shipping, and the bar fills as they add items. Each country gets its own goal, read from your shipping settings.

In automatic mode the app reads the goal from your Shopify shipping settings. Shopify grants the free shipping itself, through your own rate or an automatic discount.

  • Three bar styles: a single message, milestone dots or a segmented bar
  • Free shipping and gift goals in one bar, in the order you choose
  • The goal is converted to the shopper's currency with Shopify's own rate
  • Or set one fixed amount and let the app create the free shipping discount

Set a spend goal for the whole cart or one collection. When the cart reaches it, shoppers pick their gift in the drawer, sizes and colors included.

The gifts can be a few products or a whole collection. The gift shows as free in the cart and costs nothing at checkout.

  • Count only what matters: a spend goal on one collection, like $50 on candles
  • Offer a whole collection as the gifts, and new products in it show up in the picker by themselves
  • Several gift tiers, such as one gift at $50 and a better one at $100
  • If the cart drops below the goal, the gift is removed automatically
  • Shoppers can decline, and the order shows whether a gift was chosen

The offer starts from what's in the cart: products you choose, or any product from a collection, in the quantity you set.

  • Choose how shoppers get it: applied automatically to a free product already in the cart, or picked from a list in the drawer
  • One free item per order, or one for every qualifying item: three hoodies, three beanies
  • Remove the trigger product and the free item goes back to its normal price, or out of the cart
  • Combine it with a spend goal: buy a hoodie and spend $50

Volume discounts that count the right items.

Buy 2, save 10%. Buy 3, save 15%. The drawer tells shoppers how many more items reach the next level. Part of the Pro plan.

Reaching a level discounts every qualifying item in the cart, and the highest level reached applies to all of them.

  • A percentage off, or a price per item, such as 5 for $60
  • Mix and match across a collection or a list of products
  • Free gifts never count toward a level

Questions.

Do I need Shopify Plus?

No. The discounts run as a Shopify Function, and Shopify runs Functions from App Store apps on every plan, Basic included.

Do shoppers need a discount code?

No. Free gifts, Buy X Get Y and volume discounts apply at checkout by themselves. The app's discount is set to combine with your other discounts. On a single item, a volume discount and another product discount don't add up: the shopper gets the better of the two.

Will it work with my theme?

It's built to work with any Shopify theme. After installing, you turn on the app embed in the theme editor, and the app tells you if it's off. It takes over your theme's cart drawer and cart page. If it doesn't recognise your theme's cart page, it leaves that page as it is. If something doesn't work with your theme, send us a message and we'll quickly get you up and running.

What happens if a shopper removes items after getting a gift?

Once the cart no longer reaches the goal, the gift is removed. Checkout checks again as well, so a gift that wasn't earned is never given away for free.

What does the cart page replace?

Your theme's cart section, including any express checkout buttons and order note field on that page. If you'd rather keep the theme's cart page, one checkbox in the app embed settings turns it off.
